Part of UX is discovering how the user engages with your design. Personas identify your users and their needs; workflows allow you to discover pain points and undiscovered tasks; use and process tasks allow you to chunk processes out to inform IFUs, design materials, apps, and applications. Here are a few examples that I've worked on.

Task workflow being created in Figma using Figjam components.

Objective: To create a task flow based on HFE task analysis used in research to align the IFU. Tasks being tested, should align with the IFU and be the same. Validation testing includes this type of HFE alignment and the FDA looks for it.

Objective: Create a user workflow for how a medicine might be prescribed by a doctor for a patient and filled by a user at a pharmacy. Cognitively, the team wanted to know user's emotion during the process; and, what the physician would look for in the patient's malaise or symptoms, any difficulties in the process for the illness, for the patient, or obtaining the prescription. Here the workflow is being created in Figma using FigJam.

Objective: Show persona details indicating special, physical, cognitive or emotional needs for a user using the MBTA in Boston.

Personas for a software workflow created in Illustrator.

Objective: To be able to look at personas across an enterprise software application. Each persona (actor) is placed into a taxonomy as part of the product ecosystem. Each persona may share similar tasks, same tasks, or unique tasks throughout the system.
