Use Cases

The following projects are just a portion of some of the work I have created during my tenure at prior employers. These projects included design, architecture, code development, and team collaborations. It is not a full representation of my abilities but is meant to give you a peek into my style, innovation, and the work I have passion for.

Medical Device Wearables and
Digital Companion
Product Design

For the last 8 years I have been focused on UX / HF / UI Product Design projects in the Medical Device and Digital Healthcare industries at Analog Devices as Staff Product Designer and Human Factors Leader.  I led the User Formative and Validation Summative testing for the Sensinel CMS, created the digital companion product design (clinician dashboard and mobile app), as well as influence the design of the indications on the basestation, the wearable device's electronic tones and tonal patterns, as well as the electronic LED indication colors and interface tactile feedback.  I also created and illustrated three IFUs and two Quick Start Guides, patient and clinician. To complete testing, I also created an interactive and voice recorded Training Deck for Clinicians to quickly learn to use the product before User Testing was performed.

Wearable Medical Device and Companion Mobile App and Digital Dashboard

Part of my freelance project work for OK2Standup started out as an inquiry for help writing user testing task and moderator scripts. When I started looking under the hood, what I found was something quite different.

Their product helps solve a huge patient safety issue in care facilities and at home, using AI and ML to predict if a patient will fall upon standing up using a proprietary algorithm. The small, unobtrusive monitoring device is simply worn by patients on their chest and the OK2 Mobile App provides device status updates and sends notifications to the assigned staff member monitoring the patient. When the patient goes to standup, the nurse is notified by the mobile app, and they can arrive in time to assist the patient.

However, the problems I found were many ... review the case files to see what I discovered and uncovered.
